DAY 01

ARRIVE IN SOFIA – BULGARIA

On arrival in Sofia International airport, transfer to your hotel in Sofia. Sofia is the capital city of the Balkan national Bulgaria. Its in the west of the country, below Vitosha Mountain. Sofia is home town of many of the major local universities, cultural institutions and is one of the top 10 best places of start-up business in the world.

Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel, Sofia.

DAY 02

SOFIA (City Tour)

Breakfast at your hotel. Today, we leave for Sofia Walking Tour (02 Hour).

This is a very comprehensive tour of Sofia. The departure is at 11:00 am from a designated meeting point in central Sofia. The highlights of the tour include all of the most prominent sights in Sofia: St. George Rotunda, the Administration of the President, National Archeological Museum, 16th century Banya Bashi Mosque, St. Nedelya – old metropolitan church, National Theatre, former Royal Palace (now housing National Revival Art Gallery and Ethnographic Museum), St. Nikolay Russian Church, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, National Assembly Square, wherein the middle of the square sits the impressive Tsar Osvoboditel (King Liberator) monument erected in 1907 by the Italian sculptor Arnoldo Zocchi, Holy Synod, St. Sofia Church, Bulgarian National Gallery for Foreign Art, Alexander Nevski Cathedral – the biggest one in Bulgaria (without entrance fee).

DAY 03

SOFIA (Plovdiv Tour )

Breakfast at the hotel. After that, leave for full day Plovdiv Tour – 09 Hour). While Sofia is the administrative center of Bulgaria, Plovdiv is its cultural and artistic capital. Plovdiv is the second biggest city in Bulgaria and is just a 2-hour drive on a motor road from Sofia. It is also one of the oldest European towns contemporary to Troy and Mycenae and the oldest European continuously inhabited town with a history that goes back for more than 6.000 years. It is also the cultural capital of Bulgaria and is elected to be the cultural capital of Europe in 2019. There is plenty to discover and experience in the street maze of the captivating Old Town of Plovdiv. The awe-inspiring Roman Theater, the old-style houses, the Nebet Tepe fortifications, the Ancient Stadium, street art, galleries, old churches, ornamented mosques, exotic cafes and chic bars win the utmost admiration of thousands of tourists every year.

Return to your hotel. Overnight at hotel, Sofia.

DAY 04

SOFIA (Mt. Vitosha and Boyana Waterfall Hiking Tour – Optional)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free for you or take an optional tour of Mt. Vitosha and Boyana Waterfalls. The imposing Vitosha Mountain stands next to the capital city of Sofia. Its numerous alleys and paths have turned it into the favorite park for walks and picnic for the locals. Green pine and oak forests, Moraine Rivers and stunning views is what’s in store for the tourists, who chose to explore this extinct volcano. This tour starts from your hotel. After 20 minute transfer to the foot of the mountain, we start to hike the Boyana waterfall. After the waterfall, you will see a typical hut – Momina skala. You will have time for relax and will continue to Kamendel from where you will see Sofia from above. On the way down to the city, we visit Boyana lake. (Please, note special requirements: The tour is not suitable for disabled people or for people with physical difficulties. Wearing hiking shoes, warm jacket, water, and sandwich or sweets is a must).

Return to your hotel. Overnight at hotel, Sofia.

SOFIA (Day is at Leisure)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is free for you to explore the city your own.

Day 06

DEPARTURE

After breakfast, proceed to the airport to catch your flight back home with wonderful memories of your tour in Bulgaria.
